Trio getting ready to ski 23,000 ft mountain in Himalayas.

Ben Clark, Josh Butson and Jonathan Miller are getting to embark on a climb and ski adventure on the 23,390 ft. Baruntse in the Himalayas. Here is an interview with Ben Clark on CNN.

Torrey Pines Rescue

Lifeguards rescued two individuals that the media is calling 'climbers' in Torrey Pines, CA. I guess the act of climbing makes you a climber but I don't know that the sport of climbing would recognize these two individuals as climbers. They don't even appear to be wearing climbing shoes and honestly, look at what they are climbing. It looks like dirt bluff.

Zac Sunderland has spent the last eight months on a sailboat in an attempt to be the youngest person to circumnavigate the globe by sailboat. Along the way he's encountered times with no wind, storms, questionable people that led him to load his on board pistol and damage to the 36-foot Intrepid that required repairs.

MNDot Survey For Complete Streets

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is conduction a survey for Complete Streets. For those unaware Complete Streets is a movement where citizens are asking planners and engineers to design better streets to accommodate bicycles, pedestrians and bus riders. For the most part roads have been designed only to accommodate automobiles.


Scuba Diving World Record

Over a hundred scuba divers set a world record in Basildon, Essex, England for the most people to watch television under water. What did they watch? A soccer match.

I found this when I was looking for something else today. I don't remember what I was looking for because I forgot when I was digging around the film website. Whatever my mission was it's lost forever.


The film is about the bike-centric culture in Portland, OR and it follows cyclists intimately over a one year period.


I wouldn't mind seeing this shown in Minneapolis.
